William E. Hoefle

Managing Director

William Hoefle is a Principal and Managing Director of Alex Rogo Ventures llc, a privately held partnership dedicated to revitalizing underperforming organizations. His role is to lead the acquisition, stabilization and restoration to profitability of business enterprises.

William spent ten years in various positions with the Avraham Y. Goldratt Institute, the think-tank and management consulting organization created by Dr. Eli Goldratt, the founder of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and author of the best selling business book The Goal. Now William takes that experience and expertise and applies it to revitalizing troubled companies.

He is expert in the application of TOC in all areas of business (strategic and tactical) and his experience and educational background positions him to build the bridge between conventional understanding and practice and the paradigm shifts involved with break-through solutions.

While he works in multiple areas, William is an expert in the new product development environment, and spends a great deal of time deriving and implementing NPD systems for complex product development organizations like Medtronic, Seagate, and Herman Miller, and his work has been instrumental in the architecture and evolution of constraint-based Development Chain Management systems (portfolio management — pipeline management — project management).

He is expert in the application of Throughput Accounting to management systems for improved pricing and managerial accounting, and was instrumental in the development of ARV’s TI&OE Factor(sm) approach.

He has held associate and adjunct faculty positions in accounting and organizational behavior, is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and APICS, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance as well as an MBA from Indiana University. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Greensboro Opera Company as well as The Goal Institute, Inc., a constraint management research and consulting firm.

William makes his home in the Greensboro, NC area.
